BPMB EXPLORES COLLABORATION FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WITH SABAH’S STATE GOVERNMENT

 

In a significant move towards bolstering economic development in the state of Sabah, Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (BPMB) paid a courtesy visit to YB Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Masidi Bin Manjun, Sabah's Minister of Finance.

 

The delegation from BPMB, led by Roni Abdulwahab, Group CEO, engaged in a constructive discussion with the Minister and his team. The discussion revolved around exploring how BPMB, as Malaysia's leading development partner could extend its financial expertise and resources to contribute to Sabah's economic growth. The Bank, known for its commitment to providing impact capital, expressed its keen interest in actively participating in the economic development of Sabah through strategic partnerships.

 

One of the focal points of the meeting was on the Sabah State Funding Framework (SSFF) and the exploration of opportunities in various ecosystems within Sabah. Both parties highlighted the significance of collaboration in crucial sectors such as hydrocarbon, water, and social infrastructure development. The discussions also centered on how BPMB’s impact capital could play a pivotal role in bringing these national development projects to fruition, ultimately benefiting the citizens of Sabah.

 

The Minister also expressed optimism on the potential collaboration and the positive impact it could have on the state's economy. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further explore the potential areas of collaboration and to work closely to ensure that the projects aligned with the state's development goals.
