BPMB RECOGNISED BY MDEC FOR ITS SUPPORT IN DIGITAL AGTECH PROGRAM

On 3 August 2023, Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (BPMB) achieved another milestone with an appreciation award from Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) for its continuous support for the Digital AgTech program since 2018.

Group Head for Private Equity and Strategic Investments, Muhammad Azraini Bin Abdul Hamid, received the award on behalf of BPMB during the Digital Agriculture Industry Engagement Session 2023 at Cyberview Resort, Cyberjaya. Also present to represent BPMB were Kamal Hadi, Director, Private Equity, Shereen Bahawi, Head, Coverage 4 and Darrell Lim, Director, Coverage 4.

Digital AgTech is an initiative led by MDEC, in collaboration with stakeholders and ecosystem partners, to infuse digital technologies in empowering the national agriculture sector.

One of the key highlights during the event was an official launching ceremony for the Digital Agriculture program under Malaysia Digital Pemangkin Focus Sector. Additionally, MDEC shared their plan to the invitees regarding Digital AgTech Strategic Plans and Internal Department Outreach Plans for Digital Agriculture.
