BPMB'S GENEROUS SUPPORT TO KOLEJ TEKNOLOGI YAYASAN SABAH

We are delighted to share a recent highlight of our commitment to making a positive impact in education. Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (BPMB) recently took a significant step towards improving the learning environment at Kolej Teknologi Yayasan Sabah (KTYS).

Recognizing the challenges faced by KTYS, particularly in their computer lab, BPMB stepped in to contribute towards change. The condition of the computer lab was a matter of concern, as it impacted the students' ability to access crucial software and tools required for their courses.

In response, BPMB made a generous contribution via zakat and CSR fund to acquire over 20 brand-new desktop computer units, amounting to a total of RM57,380. This contribution not only underscores our dedication to education but also demonstrates our commitment to providing practical solutions to challenges faced by institutions that play a significant role in shaping the future.

A special presentation event, The 'Majlis Penyampaian Sumbangan Komputer Kepada Kolej Teknologi Yayasan Sabah,' was organized at The Pacific Sutera Resort Sabah on August 27, 2023. During this occasion, our Group Chief Executive Officer, Roni Abdulwahab, presented a mock cheque to Datuk Hajjah Tah Nia Binti Haji Jaman, Chairman of KKYS Sdn Bhd (the parent company of KTYS).

The computer lab upgrade holds immense significance for the students at KTYS. With the integration of new computer units, students will have enhanced access to software such as Photoshop and AutoCAD, vital for certain courses. We firmly believe that our contribution to KTYS goes beyond material support.

It speaks to our commitment to nurturing talent, empowering education, and making a lasting impact on the lives of students. By bridging gaps and addressing challenges, we are not just donating computers; we are contributing to brighter futures.
